Here's a guide to a successful start to a course. Research and patterns in data show that students who are “On Pace” in their courses at the end of the first two weeks, have a high success rate in completing the course with a passing score. The proposed plan directs mentors to use the Current Enrollments page to run reports of student performance based on different criteria each day of the first two weeks and send bulk emails to students. The emails will target a different student group each day and will focus on encouraging students to get started on their courses quickly. The plan also guides mentors in identifying students with issues like logging in, technology, or submitting assignments within the first week.
