K-5 Content Only overview

Imagine School Services has partnered with Accelerate Education to offer a K-5 curriculum for partners districts providing their own teachers. The curriculum is delivered using the Buzz LMS, which is different than the LMS used for Grades 6–12 courses.

Many of the roles and responsibilities are similar to the 6-12 model, however there is also the need for a Learning Coach. The Learning Coach is a dedicated person who works with the student each day and supports their learning with the guidance of the virtual instructor. This learning coach is often a parent or grandparent, but can be another adult that works with the student daily. The learning coach and the school mentor should not be the same person unless the online implementation is an in-class situation in which students are attending their brick-and-mortar school every school day.
